- Discussion on prerequisite quality of 'nirahamkara' or non-egotism on the part of a Sevak
- Naam-Kirtan
Noon Session
- Chaired by Sabhapati and Parichalak of NSS
- Sabhapati and Parichalak discussed analytically about the inherent principles (tatva) of Guru-seva, how it cannot be rightly performed by the ignorant and egocentric persons, how services rendered in 'self-less' and 'detached' mind pre-empts creation of bondage from actions, how rightly performed Guru-seva leads to attainment of the ultimate realization of Self and how this 'Seva' can be performed truthfully and dedicatedly through faith and devotion.
- Atanu Sabyasachi bhai discussed about the requirement of such a Discourse in building Sevaks with ideal body-mind. To begin with the Sevaks must possess a love for the ideals of Sri Sri Thakura and that of the Sangha. And, must be sincerely following the teachings of Sri Sri Thakura and the principles of the Sangha. It's required of the Sevaks to rise to the challenges of the times and try to integrate their professional, familial and Sangha-Sevak's life, which, in fact, is the 'sadhana' for the sevaks in the present age.
- Sailendra Narayan Mohanty bhai, member, Kendra Sevak Sangha, spoke about how to practice principles to become an ideal Sevak and in this context had relived the training and advices they received from the former Secretary of NSS Sri Raghunath Pati bhai during their training period in early 1990s.
He put forward several proposals for the consideration of the Kendra Parichalana Mandali for bettering the training module of the Sevaks.
